    Here is a map showing the unit's location. The pointer indicates the street entrance but the actual unit is at the beach.
Roads on sanibel are all tree-lined and although a Google sky view looks like you can see tons of built up developments, you actually can not. The island is 70% "tropical jungle" and even in the area of shops, riding a bike feels like you are quite secluded.

  • The Sundial Resort Hotel is next door and is not associated with this unit (E201) or the Sundial Condominium Association. The hotel owns, controls access, and charges a high fee for use of any of its own facilities. These include golf, tennis, spa and exercise room, and its own private pool and children's programs.
 
     
     
  ACCESSIBILITY  
   

This unit is on the second floor. Accessible by elevator or two short flights of stairs with 7 steps per flight. The Unit's front door is only ten feet from the top step. Automobile parking is unassigned. Some parking spaces are at the foot of these same stairs.

See photos for landscaping. There are three public barbecue grills. Chaise lounges and umbrellas set up around shared pool. See photos. Both the pool and the beach are VERY close.

 
     
     
  BEACH  
   

South porch is ten yards from beach. There are not many units anywhere in the world this close to the ocean and so easy to walk to. This is a very clean shelled beach which stretches for many miles.

 
     
     
  TRAVEL  
   

Airport is about a 45 minute drive using wide flat smooth highways passing by many shopping centers and restaurants. There is a $6 fee to use the causeway (round trip). There are two unrelated properties named "Sundial"

Sundial West
  • is where you will be staying.
  • There are no extra fees for use of the pool, barbque grills, internet, cable tv, use of the beach, parking, or local phone calls.
The Sundial Beach & Golf Resort
  • is next door.
  • They have their own facilities and charge a significant fee for use of any of them. Expect to pay extra for use of their tennis, golf, spa, pool and entertainment offerings.
